The Grove Shirt draws attention to the structures that make citrus production possible. Against a deep green ground, lime cross-sections appear at different scales, their delicate membranes contrasting with the solidity of the cloth.
Each slice is real fruit, painted through a silk screen and photographed, so the organic variation of every pass is kept. The green references the orchard itself and the trees, irrigation and sustained care behind every harvest, much of it carried by families who have worked the same ground for generations. A familiar relaxed silhouette makes the connection between land, labour and everyday clothing immediate.
