The Harvest Shirt begins with citrus gifted by local growers, sliced, painted through a silk screen and photographed so the irregularity of each fruit is kept. Across a soft cream ground, oversized cross-sections sit like records of a harvest, their faded edges suggesting what slips away when nobody thinks to keep it.
Inspired by the hands that pick, sort and handle fruit across the Riverina, and by the people in the archive who have done that work for decades, the design turns an everyday agricultural product into something worn and valued. Its relaxed silhouette brings ease to a process rooted in repetition, care and labour.
