The Bloodline Bag carries a single photographed slice of painted blood orange across its surface, turning fruit that would have softened in days into a lasting object.
Within the citrus industry, fruit is carried constantly, in bins, crates and cartons, out of the orchard, through the shed and away, by a long chain of people most consumers never meet. Here the image of that fruit becomes something carried in its own right, shifting the relationship between produce, commodity and personal possession. The dark ground and structured form let the blood orange take centre stage.
