The repeat reflects the scale of citrus production across the Riverina, where thousands of fruit move through the hands of growers, pickers and packers. Each begins as something unique, even within a larger harvest, and the same is true of the people handling it, which is why the archive records them one at a time. The vivid orange ground amplifies the sense of accumulation, turning the ordinary citrus slice into a bold textile language.
