The Bloodline Short is the lightest piece in the blood orange story, made for the heat of a Riverina summer. Four slices are mirrored across the front, so the print closes into a single image at the centre, each one painted through a silk screen onto real fruit and photographed before it could soften. Paint, juice and seed all stay visible, and nothing has been cleaned up.
The shape borrows from sleepwear and the easy clothes worn at home after a long day, the side of working life the archive often hears about once the recorder is running and the kettle is on. A curved hem with fine contrast piping and a long printed tie keep it soft, relaxed and a little undone. Wear it with the Bloodline Shirt as a set, or alone.
