The Citron Trouser explores the relationship between abundance and repetition. Large painted lemon slices interrupt a vivid citron ground, each one carrying the subtle differences of the original fruit.
The print speaks to the rhythm of agricultural work, where the same actions are repeated across countless pieces of fruit and yet no two are entirely alike. It is a pattern that runs through the archive too: people describing the same task done thousands of times, each telling it differently. A generous wide leg and soft gathered waist let the material move naturally with the body.
